slow cook your life
you don’t have to watch over your shoulder.
just let it all simmer slow.
releasing over time the fullness of your person.
what’s in you will come out.
you’re soft and tender now.
rich and possesing a depth only waiting knows.
your presence tastes of time and attention.
this is simply not attainable in fast living.
why rush?
nobody really remembers the best fast food meal they have ever had.
frankly, it’s terrible for our bodies.
but their heart remembers the taste of Grandma’s kitchen.
her hands baking with love only a Mother would know.
who told you to move fast?
Oswald Chambers said “God gives us a vision, and then He takes us down to the valley to batter us into the shape of that vision. It is in the valley that so many of us give up and faint. Every God-given vision will become real if we will only have patience.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promis, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
are you patient?
there are benefits to your waiting that your eyes must see.
God is not slow in keeping his promise.
remain faithful to the season.
pray without ceasing.
and be still until he says
Go.
by then you will have reached maturation and a pinnacle of time that yields the fruit of Next.
then you wait again.
